SWF Messenger example

Postby Nav » Wed Sep 08, 2010 12:49 pm

Here's a quick example of the SWF Messenger for those that are trying to use it.

Add a SWF Messenger object, and for the SWF, choose the "Page corner animation" from the Shared Library > SmartBuilder Media & Assets > Design Elements > Elements folder.

Then rename the "SDK object 1" to something more descriptive, like "SWF Messenger", or "Page corner right". Next create an action on that object that looks like the following:
Trigger: SWF Messenger > onEvent
Response: [go to the next page or something]

Because the file only has one event, it's not necessary to create more complicated conditional actions.

Please see attached files for the source code (you'll need Flash CS4, and it was written in as2).

Note that there is an example file in the Shared Library > SmartBuilder Media & Assets > Sample Flash Animations folder called "SWF Messenger example content.swf" that you can use to see how it works. The authoring FLA also accompanies it if you want to download it and take a look.
