Internet Explorer 8 - Content Won't Load

Postby jmudd » Wed Jul 24, 2013 9:47 am

Is it normal to not be able to view the HTML5 content on IE8, Chrome, etc? It loads great on a tablet/iphone but we are noticing that it just hangs up when trying to open it in a browser. We were just wondering because we would prefer to push out only one type of file to the courses, as opposed to two because it would confuse the end-users.

Hi Janet,
It should work across browsers. IE8 doesn't support HTML5, so there's nothing we can do about that, but it should load and work on chrome (though we don't technically support it, it should display). Were you finding on Chrome that the lesson didn't load? I was able to view it there. There were some things that need to be altered in the lesson to make it work better with HTML5 (such as new feedback graphics). But with some massaging, you can get the lesson to work well with html5. Out of curiosity, how did the drag and drop interactions work on a touchscreen? Was it difficult to move them?

It should work great on newer versions of IE and Firefox and Chrome.
