CSS and Question Sets

CSS and Question Sets

Postby Alway » Wed Feb 10, 2010 9:51 am

A couple feature requests that I would like.
1st The ability to use CSS or at least specify a default font for a lesson.
2nd. To have the ability to specify which answer in a question set is correct other than just having to use the first one in the list. Having the correct answer always the first in the list forces you to use the randomize answers feature.

Hi Alway,
Styling your lessons is indeed a feature that we hope to incorporate in a future version of SmartBuilder.

However, your other enhancement request is currently possible in SmartBuilder! Here is a link that explains the process of choosing a different option as the correct answer. Basically, you're editing the condition. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=449&p=1268

Also, if you want to learn a little more about the Flow Chart, here is a video tutorial that covers the topic.

Thanks for your suggestions, and hope this helps!

Hi Alway,
I also realized that while SmartBuilder does not have a way to set default text or stylesheets yet, there are a few best practices that you can follow to make your life easier.

1. You can multiselect multiple text objects and change all their font at once. To multiselect items, they have to be in the same location (on the page level, or all in the same display). You can either grab them all with your selection marquee, or click on them one by one while holding down the Shift key.

2. Don't create new text objects. Instead copy and paste previous text objects. Their formatting (including the font) will be retained, so you don't constantly have to go around changing font.

2b. Make use of your paste queue. SmartBuilder remembers the last 10 items that you copied. If you're going to be copying and pasting a lot, you will quickly see how that will help you.

Let me know if you have further enhancement ideas, or you notice any bottlenecks in your SmartBuilder development. We can suggest solutions and workarounds, or take note of them as important things to consider for future enhancements and versions.
