Is it possible to preload images for the next page?

Postby Jordan » Wed Dec 17, 2014 4:41 pm

I have some graphic heavy slides and all the images are check to preload. Is it possible, say if a user is on page 2 that we can buffer/preload some images on page 3? This would make the transition more instant and not show the BG image for that split loading/buffering second?

Hi Jordan,
If you place your copies of your Page 3 graphics offscreen on Page 2, but do not preload them, then they will load while the learner is looking at Page 2, and will be cached and ready once Page 3 shows up. You can also just place the graphics on the Master Page offscreen, and it will do something similar. The best place to put them depends on when you expect the learner to sit around for a while reading what is on the screen.

Let me know if that doesn't help.
