Hotspot is reacting south of where it's placed

Postby eeuler » Wed Feb 10, 2016 12:52 pm

I'm working on creating multiple hot spots on a page. I have one main picture in the middle and I'm wanting hotspots to show more information when clicked on for 5 thought bubbles around the center image. I've tested the first hotspot I've created but in order to make it work you have to click on a region south of where I put the hotspot on the page. How do I make the hotspot on the design and hotspot select region on the practice line up?

The attached page shows what I'm trying to do. The hotspot is placed over the comment bubble but when I test it I have to click more toward the ladys head for the display set to appear.

Hi,
Thanks for posting your question here! It looks like you've got a shape layered above the hotspot. If you have a shape or image object over a hotspot, it will obscure the blue region and your mouse won't be able to touch it. Usually hotspots are above everything else (since they're invisible at runtime {unless you change it} it shouldn't impact your design).

Here's a video to show you what I mean - http://screencast.com/t/WZSq1ehHsDfC

Here's a related issue that people often run into when dealing with hotspots, rollovers and layering - http://screencast.com/t/x1IOy9GwYvFb
