Scrolling text

Postby Greycious » Fri Dec 19, 2014 7:35 am

Hi there,

Within my module, I want to build a textbox. I already know there will be a lot of text (plus an image), so the learner should be able to scroll within the textbox. Because I want the textbox to fit nicely within the page. But currently I do not see this option. My textbox just expands when I insert a lot of text, while this is not what I want.

Any solutions on this?

Cheers, Sarah

Hi Sarah,
The text object should have a "Scroller" property (in the Properties panel) that you can turn on. Then you can resize it, and you'll see the scroller change size based on the amount of text in there. The "Border" property automatically turns on when you turn on "Scroller", but you can turn it back off if you don't like the look of it.

There's no way to get the image to scroll with the text, though. So the image will have to sit next to the scrolling text.
